Choosing your flake colour is the fun part — but with the full Vinyl Flakes range of Solids, Blends, Stone and Hybrid Stone to pick from, it can feel overwhelming. Here’s how to narrow it down.
1. Start with your space
Garages and workshops suit mid-to-dark greys and blends that hide dust and tyre marks. Living areas and showrooms can carry lighter stones and neutrals. Outdoor alfresco areas look great in warm, natural tones.
2. Light and dark both have trade-offs
Lighter floors make a space feel bigger and brighter but show more dust between cleans. Darker floors hide marks but show lint. A blend with multiple chip colours is the most forgiving of all — it disguises everyday wear beautifully.
3. Match, don’t clash
Pull a tone from something permanent in the space — your walls, benchtops or roller door — and choose a flake that complements it rather than competing with it.
4. See it before you commit
Screens and lighting shift colours, so we always recommend viewing a physical sample. Better yet, use our floor visualiser to lay any colour onto a warehouse, garage, showroom or home and compare looks side by side — then shortlist your favourites and send them with your quote.
5. When in doubt, ask
We bring samples to every quote and we’ve seen which colours wear and clean well in real homes. Tell us how you’ll use the space and we’ll point you to the colours that work. Book your free quote.
